31 Day Blog Challenge - March
I would love to say that I give money away all the time but in truthfulness I can't afford to do that.
I do like doing nice things for people when I can though. Little things here and there, if I'm able to.
A couple weeks ago while visiting my older sister she randomly asked if I could touch up her roots after supper, so I did. I like to hold the door open for people. I pick garbage up when walking down the street, because I hate litter. I babysit my nieces often for free. My boyfriend and I pick my younger sister up from work all the time so she doesn't have to take the bus.
I don't know! I just consider a lot of those things mandatory. Treat others how you like to be treated and all that. I've noticed when I'm in a bigger city like Toronto, no body holds the door open for you, and when you hold the door open for someone they'll stare at you like you're insane.
I think being polite in general is an act of kindness. And when someone isn't expecting it, then maybe it's considered a random act of kindness.

Good for you. I think you have this random act of kindness thing down pat!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteYour post reminded me of mine! It's not so much the random acts of kindness as living a life of kindness! That's what's important!
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I was trying to say, "Living a life of kindness."
DeletePicking up garbage on the street is a HUGE and IMPORTANT random act of kindness. You are doing a great job!
