Day 16 Blog Challenge - My Biggest Accomplishment

31 Day Blog Challenge - March

My Biggest Accomplishment

My daughter, Sidney, is my biggest accomplishment.

It's been tough, being a young parent, but Sidney has turned into an amazing little girl. She's kind, smart, happy, healthy and thriving. As most of my readers will know, I had my daughter when I was 17. It was terrifying, and amazing all at the same time.

Sidney is my greatest accomplishment not only because of how awesome she is, but because of all the things she has taught me and motivated me to do.

Having Sidney in my life has been an amazing adventure.

Another great accomplishment of mine is graduating high school, which was just last year. I dropped out to raise Sidney the way I wanted to. Finishing high school wasn't easy, but I want to be able to provide the best for my daughter.

And, I'm going to college this September!

  1. Congratulations on all three of your accomplishments! You are obviously one of the few young moms out there that is taking not only your daughter's life seriously, but your own as well. I only wish my niece was as motivated as you. She just turned seventeen a few weeks ago and her son turned one a few days before that. She treats him like an accessory at best and the rest of the time ignores him completely. It absolutely breaks my heart. I only wish she was as amazing and accomplished as you!

    1. Thank you :)

I, too, know of some other teen moms who don't take parenting seriously. I also know a lot who do though and those moms are inspiring.

I hope your niece straightens herself out, children need tons of hugs and kisses and attention.

  2. Congratulations on beating the statistics. You are an inspiration to other young pregnant girls. You will continue to learn through your daughter. She will teach you things you didn't know you needed to learn (especially in those tween years...going through that now). Very proud of you for graduating. That is a huge accomplishment after dropping out. Can't wait to hear about your adventures in college.

    1. Lol, I am terrified of parenting a teenager, even tweens for that matter. I can remember how difficult they can be. I just have to hope she's not as rebellious as I, and hopefully more respectful.
      And thanks!
